I designed the brand logo to have a sense of bold and playful personality impression that communicates the concept of sustainable packaging for preserving bread-based foods. The problem is that bread is one of the most wasted foods in the UK’s food industry. So, I wanted to create a compactable, flat-packed and user-friendly packaging design product, made of cardboard rather than plastic materials, as the solution to reducing food wastage of bread and packaging at home.
I soon designed several graphic figures to style the bread brand logo and tagline, with food ingredient illustration figures around the logo, and chosen font-style: ‘DK Woolwich’.

The Eco Bread Bin – carry pack box, made of recyclable corrugated cardboard material to be eco-friendly and biodegradable when reaching its end of life-span to help reduce the environmental impact. Corrugated cardboard material in packaging is very useful for decorative prints, graphics and brand labels.

The function for carry pack boxes encourage users whom are passionate about travelling, hiking, and other outdoor activities, to continuously reuse the same package for long-terms. By use of dismantle and reassembly for easy transport and carry by the handle, without the need of using glue. Eco Bread Bin’s purpose is to store all types of everyday bread when keeping it fresh, protected, and help reduce staling. To demonstrate the concept of eco-sustainability and longevity in packaging, and change the environmental perspective of bread itself.
